This is one of two tracks on the EP (the other is Track 2) where I recorded the sound experiment first and then chose the image I wanted to pair it with. The track is meant to accompany a painting of the same name by Jane Graverol, who I think of as being very Magrittesque at times (which causes me to take to her work very quickly and naturally). I've been trying really hard to leave behind some old attachments in my own mind, which makes my day-to-day feel very different in some intangible way - and under those circumstances I liked the idea of an unfamiliar melancholy filling the room like an ominous oversized bird.
A moody, enveloping record from Zane Coppard, where dense and intricately crafted atmospheres cradle yearning vocals. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 1, 2021
Intimate pop; Bollinger's vocals sound almost confidential as she muses on relationship neuroses over woozy, breezy instrumentation. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 18, 2019
